Tutoring
Our specialty is math and science at all levels, however we are happy to discuss any other subjects. A tutoring session runs in 1-hr increments and will include going over problem areas with student, homework help, help writing assignments, instruction in proper note-taking and study habits.
Editing
Basic editing of papers involves proofreading and correcting for content comprehension. The student is not involved in the process and is sent a copy of their original paper with comments added.
Guided Editing
This specialized form of editing involves working with the student on how to improve their paper, explanations of why and how the content and structure should be improved, as well as research help. The student is intensely involved in the process and the guided editing sessions can be considered a specialized form of tutoring. Sessions run in 1-hr increments.
Home School Classes
We are happy to provide home school families with complete classes. If there is a subject you do not wish to address with your student yourself (i.e. Algebra, Physics) we will design and teach the class to your child. Tutoring will involve teaching new material, going over new material if the student chooses to learn material on his/her own, homework assignment and correction, testing.
